AI Data Engineer

Location: Lisbon

Hybrid Model: 2-3 days per week onsite

Sector: Financial Services

? Languages: English (mandatory), French (mandatory)

Eligibility: Priority will be given to candidates residing in Portugal with legal work authorization; other candidates who already hold a valid visa for Portugal will be considered at a later stage.

Your Profile

• Experience in AI with hands-on involvement in end-to-end AI projects including modeling, scaling, and operational management (industrialization, monitoring), ideally across various industries.
• Expert-level Python programming skills; basic knowledge of JavaScript frameworks and SQL a plus
• Strong expertise in AWS services: S3, SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, API Gateway, OpenSearch
• Solid command of DevOps/MLOps tools and platforms: GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Airflow, Artifactory, MLflow, APIs, HuggingFace, MCP, A2A, Guardrails
• Mastery of Python libraries: Scikit-learn, LangChain, LangGraph, Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Transformers
• Comfortable with development tools such as UV, Venv, JupyterLab, VS Code (or equivalents)
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML modeling: supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, generative AI (RAG, fine-tuning, Chain-of-Thought, ReAct, TAO)
• Experience with agent-based and multi-agent systems, orchestration, monitoring, and Human-in-the-Loop feedback management (HITL)
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including vector databases like Redis and OpenSearch; graph databases knowledge is a plus
• Experienced in Agile methodologies

? What You Will Be Doing

• Lead AI projects from modeling to deployment and operational scaling
• Manage AI/ML pipelines, including industrialization and monitoring processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions in banking workflows
• Develop and fine-tune generative AI models, applying advanced reasoning patterns
• Implement and oversee agent-based systems with effective feedback loops, including HITL
• Optimize data usage with SQL/NoSQL/vector databases for AI applications
• Drive Agile processes within the AI development teams
