Description
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
Act as a Certified Accountant, preparing and signing Local Books for all portuguese legal entities, in coordination with the local Corporate Hub;
Support the Finance Director in all controlling matters, including Month end closings, Reporting, Forecasting, Budgeting and Long Term Planning;
Act as Finance Business Partner for the Commercial structure, Corporate Hub and HQ;
Supervise local accounting standards and guidelines to ensure compliance and fulfilment with both local and group GAAPs (in coordination with the Corporate Hub);
Manage month-end-close and year-end-close tasks;
Prepare country financial statements;
Manage tax compliance requirements, deliverables (such as Corporate Income Tax, SAF-T, etc.) and opportunities to optimize tax efficiency;
Lead all communication with local Tax Authorities;
Support the Finance & Controlling Director with external and internal audits;
Provide reports and ad-hoc information to local management;
Support data driven applications and decisions.
Profile
To make the most of this job and truly thrive, you should have:
University degree related with Finance or Accounting;
Professional qualification as Certified Accountant (Contabilista Certificado);
Proven experience 5+ years and strong knowledge in dealing with statutory accounts, tax requirements (EU and local) & accounting principles;
Controlling experience is a big plus;
Fluent Portuguese and English;
Pro-active approach, focus driven, high level of autonomy;
Strong level of communication and collaboration skills;
SAP experience is a plus (but not mandatory).
