• Our client is a multinational company with an expanding hub in Porto.
• We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join this new project.

Description

• Prepare and/or review ledger entries, post entries, and prepare reconciliations;
• Assist in maintaining the general ledger system;
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and assist with regulatory reporting as applicable;
• Assist in variance analysis of actual results versus budget and forecast;
• Research accounting issues for compliance with Luxembourg GAAP;
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed;
• Assist in the monthly closing process;
• Assist with external audits and support internal audit processes as needed.

Profile

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Management, Accounting or a related field;
• 2 - 5 years of accounting experience;
• Tax and VAT experience is a plus;
• Fluent in English (French is a plus);
• Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Office;
• Strong analytical and organizational skills;
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in an accurate and timely manner;
• Autonomous and able to take initiative;
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach;
• Solid time management and prioritisation skills.
