DataOps Engineer

Ovyo is an professional services company specializing in the satellite, telecommunications, media, and broadcasting, transportation and many more sectors. Our management team is located in the UK and Portugal and we have technical teams based across Europe and India.

Responsibilities:

• Develop robust software solutions using languages such as C# and VB.NET, with a strong focus on frameworks like ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework
• Design and implement complex integrations between information systems, based on REST and SOAP technologies, ensuring interoperability between applications
• Design software architectures focused on the creation and consumption of APIs, promoting scalability and component reusability
• Specify, develop, and optimize SQL queries for relational databases such as SQL Server and MySQL, ensuring efficient data access and manipulation
• Conduct performance analysis and implement optimization practices in .NET applications, including profiling and caching techniques to ensure high performance levels
• Provide technical leadership in software development projects, applying over 10 years of hands-on experience in complex and demanding environments
• Actively contribute to the definition of development and integration best practices, focusing on quality, maintainability, and continuous improvement of solutions.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in specifying and implementing system integrations
• Experience in C# and VB.NET, with solid knowledge of ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework
• Experience in developing and optimizing SQL queries, as well as working with relational databases such as SQL Server and MySQL
• Experience in software architecture design, particularly in the context of API development.
