Structural Analysis Enginner Launchers Vehicle

As the set up in the Portuguese market, they are seeking a dynamic Structural Analysis Engineer.
Position Summary
As a Structural Analysis Engineer, you will perform detailed mechanical analyses, support project teams with technical expertise, and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge aerospace technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical analyses of dispenser systems for spacecraft launches, including
- Strength analyses with static, dynamic, and thermal loads
- Stiffness and modal analyses
- Response and buckling analyses
- Non-linear contact problems and screw joint dimensioning
- Damage tolerance analyses
Produce comprehensive documentation and reports;
Specify, predict, and evaluate tests, including static load tests, and correlate analysis models with test results;
Review models, analyses, and documentation, and present findings to customers;
Utilize advanced analysis tools such as Abaqus, Nastran, and HyperWorks (Python scripting);
Collaborate closely with colleagues in both small and large project groups.
Requirements
Must-Haves
- Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience;
- Proficiency in mechanical analysis work and hand calculations;
- Experience in early approximative calculations and technical report writing;
- Skilled in FE (Finite Element) analysis and tools like HyperWorks, Nastran, and preferably Abaqus and Python;
- Experience with challenging project schedules and organizations.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in analyzing composite structures;
- Background in developing methods and processes;
- Familiarity with SCRUM/agile methodologies.
