Your new role

The Specialist, Sourcing role is part of a dynamic and integrated Finance function delivering operational Finance specialist services. The role will report directly to the Source to Pay (S2P) Lead and will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure processes are performed in accordance with performance and quality standards.



    • Set-up and Run Strategic Sourcing Events, incorporating population of event details, running of test events where required, assimilating feedback, ensuring compliance by participants and evaluation of submissions.

    • Engage with the business to understand scale of event required (i.e. price quote through to major RFP). This includes conducting external market research and provide reports to the business.

    • Sourcing suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers.

    • Obtaining quotes from different suppliers and evaluation of proposals.

    • Utilize Strategic sourcing strategies to negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods/services, deadlines, expectations, etc.

    • Promote tactical and collaborative sourcing where (and if) this can be self-managed by the business; by providing guidance on multiple preferred supplier options, assisting with benefits estimates for iterative sourcing opportunities to generate further savings.

    • Support tracking and monitoring compliance for regulatory and both internal / external audit requirements.

    • Responsible for ensuring adherence to policies & controls, aligned to the compliance framework, for all countries & business lines in scope.

    • Maintain standards, processes, systems, and align to ways of working – this includes refining existing working practices and reviewing fit to customer needs – to ensure compliance feedback / escalation of business non-compliance.

    • Support the S2P governance model and develop standard operating procedures for sourcing.

    • Responsible for ensuring compliance with agreed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

    • Provide education to business (where engaged) in support of procurement compliance.

    • Oversee the development and management of reports and key data metrics to support service performance management.

    • Supporting implementation of “world-class” performance through compliance with structure, governance, continual improvement and planning.

    • Supporting managers in the effective application of S2P processes and policies; ensuring understanding of why processes and policies are in place and providing guidance in alignment to same.

    • Work closely with other process teams within the KBS organisation in the provision of support to business colleagues.

    • Responsible for pro-active and regular communication with other areas of the KBS and the wider organisation.







What you'll need to succeed




  • Degree level education in Business Administration/Finance or equivalent.

  • Ability to build and present business insights at the enterprise, division, and market level with lenses on other key demographics, such as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, for executive level review.

  • Deep understanding of the following:

    • Cloud Analytical Platforms (Azure SQL, GCP, AWS Redshift)

    • Analytical and Visualisation tools (Qlikview, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx or Business Objects)

    • Knowledge of coding languages such as SQL, Python or R

    • Microsoft Excel



  • Awareness of:

    • ERP Reporting Platforms (SAP, Oracle, IFS)

    • Budgeting and Financial Consolidation Solutions (Onestream, SAP BPC, Anaplan, Hyperion HFM)



  • Historical delivery of advanced analytical solutions that demonstrate the ability to work with large and complex data sets to build analysis, visualise data and deliver business insights & commentary.

  • Proven experience succeeding in complex, matrix and cross functional projects with the ability to inspire and influence across the organisation.

  • Fluent English speaker, accurately able to read and write English and to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and management.

  • Adapts to changing objectives and priorities to deliver results.
