Sodexo is currently implementing a Shared Services Center in Porto that will support several countries across Europe with the processes of Record to Report, Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Master Data, Training & Continuous Improvement, among others. Porto is a recently growing shared services centre receiving activities from multiple Sodexo legal units, whose processes are not 100% harmonized. While operational team are under pressure on execution, time & skills are missing to them to investigate process improvement & productivities ideas that are detected

You'll be responsible for: 

  • Develop and implement a harmonized and simplified processes architecture that enable the successive deployment of robot process automation (RPA) technology.

  • Address both process improvement/efficiency opportunity gains, as well as effort optimization through process harmonization/Lean practices, while promoting a Continuous Improvement culture development.

  • Select, collect and interpret workload metrics in the operation and performance and quality metrics in the service provided by SBS

  • Train functional teams in Lean principles as value vs waste, standard work, PDCA, SIPOC, one-piece flow, 5S; and problem-solving tools/root-cause analysis as A3, fish-bone diagrams (Ishikawa), 5 why’s etc

  • Step by step Value Stream Mapping for SBS Domains’ operations

  • Drive process simplification and standardization initiatives

  • Robot Process Automation potential analysis and preparation

  • Structure RPA Business case and seek validation, and once developed, ensure productivity gains

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Engineering or Management background (Industrial Engineering and management is a plus)

  • 1-2 years of professional experience

  • Capacity to develop an end-to-end perspective of operations

  • Understanding of processes logics

  • Financial accounting knowledge is a plus

  • Basic knowledge of Lean is a plus

  • Basic knowledge of value stream mapping and standard work is a plus

  • Basic knowledge of programming and macros is a plus

  • Fluent in English
