Your new role



The Kantar Business Services (KBS) Contract and Governance Manager is part of a dynamic and integrated Service Management function delivering cross functional specialist services to the KBS organisation. The role will report to the Head of KBS Service Management and will be responsible for managing and developing KBS to deliver high quality services to the business. The role will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure processes are performed and Governance is implemented in accordance with performance and quality standards and be the main driving force behind a contract adherence within KBS and its partners.

Contract & Vendor Management

  • Accountable for the contract management of all 3rd Party relationships within KBS applying a standardized contract management approach across all in Kantar Divisions and Functions in scope for KBS

  • Responsible for managing KBS third party relationships and two-way account management

  • Accountable for managing the contractual performance of key partners including Genpact and other Managed Service Providers (MSPs) including finance process and adjustments (e.g., milestones and credits etc.)

  • Work closely with 3rd party teams and Process Tower Leads to monitor performance and identify areas of improvement for 3rd Parties with alongside teams responsible for continuous improvement initiatives

  • Has expert knowledge of relevant contract language and terminology and collaborates with Group Legal and other Kantar teams as required to ensure Kantar’s business interests are protected contractually

  • Act as the on-site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for questions concerning 3rd party contacts within the scope of KBS interfacing with legal and other Kantar Group teams as needed.

  • Focus on developing strategic management of supplier relationships in order to drive value, improve the service and establish relationships

  • Develop a strong understanding of the financial and commercial aspects of the Genpact contract and other 3rd party contracts including pricing and other commercial terms to input to financial reviews

  • Acting as the KBS point of contact for Procurement, work collaboratively to support the identification, selection and onboarding of any 3rd party vendors for KBS

  • Support end to end procurement activity for Human Resources (HR) related services to include market testing, business approvals and tendering

  • VOC’ Voice of the Customer’ survey distribution, tracking and reporting.


Governance & Performance

  • Ensure that governance is implemented, escalations are in place, with roles and responsibilities are defined

  • Responsible for all aspects of contract governance (e.g., management of Contractual Change Notices (CCNs) and participating in (and leading where required) contract related governance meetings etc.

  • Support the KBS Director to ensure that appropriate business continuity plans and risk management is in place for KBS including with the managed service providers

  • Review, assess and interrogate spend and performance reporting e.g., Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance, trend analysis and present insightful data to senior management

  • Drive contract compliance and process automation, working closely with Service Management colleagues

  • Work on all matters relating to contractual obligations with 3rd party suppliers, ensuring that they meet KBS operational requirements, that contractual commitments are met, that services are compliant with Kantar policies

  • Support Head of Service Management in managing formal supplier reviews, escalations incl. performance, benchmarking, oversight of service credits and incentives, changes in scope, issues and risks

  • Leading on escalations and any subsequent supplier improvement plans, ensuring root causes of any issues are investigated

  • Manage action items tracking and reporting, escalation process.






What you'll need to succeed



Education/Primary Qualification

  • Degree level education or equivalent (business, accounting or legal qualification preferred)


Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience managing large Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and MSP contracts within a Global Business Services (GBS) environment.

  • Experience of performing contract management and governance or similar within a large multinational organisation

  • Extensive experience in building supplier relationships and delivering CI within the supply chain.

  • Have a strong record of driving value in supplier contracts and ensuring contract compliance

Desirable Knowledge and Experience

  • Self-disciplined with ability to work independently and under stress and pressure, target and result driven, energetic and driven with a real hand on approach to the job

  • Knowledge of key business process technologies, including Enterprise Service Management, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) (Workday preferred) and other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Maconomy preferred)
