Your new role



The Intelligent Automation (IA) Lead is responsible for collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to understand business processes and define automation solutions. The role supports the intake pipeline, that covers new ideas as well as continuous improvements, as well as the end-to-end delivery of automation. This includes: prioritization, gathering of detailed requirements and design of the workflow automation across the complete lifecycle from discovery to deployment, testing, support and maintenance. The role will be seen as the “automation expert and champion” and as such mentor their teams their stakeholders and colleagues across the wider teams. The person in this role be at the “ground level” in the Regional Delivery centre as Kantar begin to extract value from the use of automation technologies.

  • Lead the infrastructure design, build and deployment of RPA infrastructure

  • Support the discovery and intake of opportunities for IA, process and robotic automation; with an ability to interpret business policy and rules into sound logical structures which enable the removal of human intervention and drive automation

  • Work with Global Process Owners, Controls teams and RDC Tower Leads to analyze, observe, and understand process steps, interdependencies, and applications

  • Identify process gaps and provide recommendation to re-engineer or change processes to fit the automation solution

  • Create detailed process definition documents outlining the processes with the required information to serve as a guide for bot development

  • Develop detailed business and data exception scenarios that must incorporated in bot design

  • Support the planning and execution of automation testing.

  • Manage and facilitate resolution of issues and risk across multiple automations

  • Support the technical team during bot development and act as a liaison between the delivery team and process experts throughout the implementation lifecycle

  • Interface with automation solution providers to ensure project and development requirements are met and technology solutions match business need

  • Accountable for validating potential CI and automation opportunities across KBS, ensuring robust business cases are in place

  • Monitor and reports on progress of all CI and automation activity across KBS.

  • Engage outside of KBS and Kantar to identify best practice for potential future CI and automation opportunities within a global business services environment.

  • Bring together business processes and data flow to identify process standards and dependencies to enable process automation.






What you'll need to succeed



Education/Primary Qualification

  • Degree level education or equivalent in Information Systems, Business or Science / Technical field


Knowledge and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in technology roles / in intelligent automation or RPA

  • Demonstrated experience in process mapping, process re-engineering or delivery intelligent automation solutions into service

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of requirements gathering, process design, test planning and test case design

  • Experience of deploying and managing bots across multiple business units

  • High analytical with the ability to turn abstract rules and complexity into logic and structure

  • Have a strong background in management of Continuous Improvement and Automation initiatives within a GBS environment.

  • Experience of leading and managing cross functional internal and external teams through influence and ability to manage and prioritize workload of themselves and their team


Special Skills

  • Fluent English speaker, accurately able to read and write English and to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders across all levels of the organisation

  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical information to business stakeholders and communicate business requirements and priorities to developers and other technical resources

  • Provides thought leadership to shape future decisions, bringing initiative on assignments to drive business outcomes

  • Analytical, detail orientated and understands the downstream impact of configuration and business process changes

  • Demonstrated learning versatility and ability to apply creative solutions to potential problems

  • Focuses on creating value for the business and driving results

  • Systems thinking and deep technical expertise

  • Adapts to changing objectives and priorities to deliver results (dealing with ambiguity)

  • Experience working with API’s

  • Understanding of DevOps, agile methodologies and waterfall


Desirable Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in supporting either Finance, HR or Procurement processes

  • Self-disciplined with ability to work independently and under stress and pressure, target and result driven, energetic and driven with a real hand on approach to the job

  • Ability to identify and diagnose continuous improvement opportunities

  • Have a strong background of business case development for CI and Automation

  • Experience working within a Global Business Services (GBS) environment

  • Experience working alongside outsource partners

  • Knowledge of key business process technologies, including Enterprise Service Management, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) (Workday preferred), Service Now, UiPath and other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Maconomy preferred)
