Our client is looking to expand its Industrial IoT Connectivity Operations team

Description

The candidate will work closely together with the development teams building solutions, especially the DevOps team that provide the connectivity infrastructure. You will:

  • Maintain a sophisticated technology stack used by our customers;
  • Use modern state-of-the-art technologies in a daily basis;
  • Become a specialist in a fast-growing field of Industrial IoT to Cloud convergence;
  • Work in an agile environment;
  • Have opportunities to shape your role and adapt it to current needs;
  • Be part of an international and worldwide distributed team of IoT and Cloud specialists.

The focus will be on the operational aspects and the support of our products, which include:

  • Manage and resolution of incidents identified by our monitoring systems;
  • Communicate with customers about technical questions and issues, e.g. regarding the gateways;
  • Support the teams in deployments and configuration changes on the gateways and cloud systems;
  • Improve the support and incident management processes by continuous feedback to teams;
  • Document incidents, changes, processes and operational procedures;
  • Measure KPIs to assess and quantify improvements and progress.

Profile

  • More than 5 years background in an IT operation customer support, worked along ITIL-based processes;
  • Proven knowledge of more than 3 years in general Linux administration, shell scripting and debugging;
  • More than 5 years experience in traditional network and server support;
  • Thorough understanding of common cyber security measures;
  • Hands-on experience on modern virtualization and container infrastructures, as well as public cloud environments especially Azure and AWS;
  • Experience in configuration management and infrastructure as code methodologies;
  • Mastered different monitoring tools;
  • Basic knowledge of IoT networks, protocols and processes;
  • Customer orientation perspective, focusing on customer needs and viable solutions;
  • A strong understanding of measuring and improving relevant KPIs for a successful support organization;
  • Verbal & written fluency in English;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or a similar course of studies.
