We are currently recruiting a Data Scientist Engineer, to integrate our client. The company is establishing a Procurement and Logistics Technology Center in Lisbon.
| | | This professional will be responsible for:
• Supports Data Engineering Manager in the mining, interpreting, cleaning and modeling of data;
• Collaborates with the products, services, and MIS team to develop an understanding of data analytics needs;
• Communicates analytic solutions to the products, services, and MIS teams and implements improvements as needed to operational systems;
• Builds and innovates data reports as required by products, services, and MIS team
• Researches and devises innovative statistical models for data analysis;
• Communicates findings to relevant stakeholders by building and innovating data reporting methods;
• Facilitates creation of smarter business processes by implementing data analytics to capture process improvement insights;
• Identifies and integrate datasets that can be leveraged by the products, services, and MIS team to develop strategies for the development and implementation of data products;
• Executes methodical analytical experiments to help solve various data problems and queries, improving operations;
• Identifies relevant data sources and sets to mine for client business needs
• Collects large structured and unstructured datasets and variables;
• Devises and utilizes algorithms and models to mine big data stores, perform data and error analysis to improve models, and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy;
• Analyzes and interprets data for trends and patterns to solve specific problems;
• Implements analytical models into product and service development by collaborating with software developers and machine learning engineers;
• Supports development and maintenance of data repositories/data lakes;
• Absorbs and implements technical and industry developments in data analytics and supply chain.
We are looking for someone with:
• Master’s degree in statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline, PhD degree in statistics, applied math, or related discipline highly preferred;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data science;
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project management;
• Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis;
• Advanced pattern recognition and predictive modeling experience;
• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, SQL, and programming languages (i.e., Java/Python, SAS);
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, research-oriented group with several ongoing concurrent projects;
• Professional certifications in data analytics preferred (including but not limited to Microsoft MCSE: Data Management and Analytics, IBM Data Science: Professional Certificate, Google Certified Professional Data Engineer, etc.);
• Good understanding of MS products (PowerBI/Azure data components);
• Willingness to travel and work abroad a minimum of 8 weeks per year; experience working on technical programs for emerging economies preferred;
• Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications;
• Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
