Principais responsabilidades

You will have the opportunity to join into a growing and cross-functional product development team of Residential Heat Pumps in Aveiro. Your contribution as Simulation Engineer will create the essential value add into successful product introduction for our heat pump business.

Air flow paired with performance figures and sound emissions of electric Heat Pumps are one the main focuses to obtain high efficiencies and enable installations in populated areas.

The overall sound performance of a Heat Pump is the product of various physical causes (mechanical vibrations, sound radiation, pressure pulsations, fluid-structure interaction, turbulent airflow etc.). Airflow noise is one of the two main drivers of the overall heat pump sound. For the best possible sound performance at affordable cost and efficiency values, a special focus shall be on airflow optimization.

  • System optimization of the airside of an air/water heat pump
  • Responsible for the system design of the evaporation of the heat pump (evaporator, fan, fan motor, shroud) using CFD and aeroacoustics simulations as well as their experimental validation for Air-Water residential heat pumps. Responsible for DHW requirements for HP systems for residential use.
  • Active involvement in all sample stages by creating, evaluating and testing samples
  • Consider Airflow solutions within the overall system approach by incremental result optimization and close alignment with all product and module responsibilities
  • Ensure communication and experience exchange between product lines. Document results in guidelines and best practices
